If you are looking to save by means of discount coupons then you may want to check into the local school around you.  There are many schools that sell discount books that offer a wide variety of coupons that usually include travel coupons.  They can save you up to $50 to $100 on a single ticket.  In most cases, the more tickets you buy (maximum is usually 6 tickets) the better the discount you will get.

If you are traveling with a group of people then you may be able to qualify for cheap flight tickets as a group.  This is good to do through a travel agent as well as directly through the airlines as they generally have great offers for groups of ten or more.  You should also check with a travel agent if you are traveling with a large group because they generally have great discounts for group travel.

Everyone wants to travel during the summer months as the kids are off of school and that is when the adults can get their vacation time. Winter months are probably the most popular as this is the main holiday season and people want to travel to see family and friends.  Rates for airfare are the highest at these particular times of the year, so it is safe to say that you should not try to plan your vacation at this time of the year if you want to save money.
