Is it possible to change a flight to a day before ?

i am scheduled to leave from chicago on august 20th .
but something has come up and i was wondering if i could leave on the 19th .

and i know i have to pay so if you can estimate, how much do i have to pay ?
and i’m taking southwest airlines with a stop at kansas city from chicago before i arrive at seattle .

   Usually yes, call the airline, and if there is an available flight, they will switch you, but you may pay a penalty.

   Depending on the Airline carrier you can call them or just go up the counter and ask to change the preferred date and time of travel. One time on southwest is pretty lenient.

   you can change even when you’re checking in at the airport

   i changed a flight to 5 horus earlier for 50 bucks before.

   and i changed a flight 2 days earlier by phone.. they charged me 50 dollar FEE + extra price on the ticket amount (if it is more expensive)

   not 100% sure as i’ve never done it with this airline, but you should be able to change your flight here. If not, give the airline a ring and they’ll sort it out. Generally, you’ll have to pay a fee, plus extra if the flight you move onto is more expensive than your original flight. If your new flight it cheaper, you won’t get a refund.
