How many bags can you have on a flight?

I am going on a vacation in a month and i am leaving from Chicago and heading to Florida. I was wondering if anyone knows how many bags you can have including weight and carry-on size.

Usuaully you get 2 check-in’s and 1 carry-on. The checked bags shouldn’t weigh more than 70 pounds, or you will get charged for heavy baggage. If you have three bags, you will be charged like $80 for each bag after the first two.
You can have a laptop/briefcase in addition to your carry-on bag, but if you have to get on a small plane, you might have to check one of those bags.
This is just from what I know from travelling with the military, but your best bet would be to contact the airline you are flying with and ask them.

Two is the magic number. Weight doesn’t matter so much as fit. Whatever you’re taking needs to fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you (or both). Every flight I’ve ever been on I took two carry ons. I suppose one is supposed to count as a purse or something. At the desk where you check in they have a rack you can put your bag in and if it fits it can be a carry on. I want to say twenty inches long is the max, but I’m not positive. Try the website of the airline you’re taking. They should have that info.

You can have as many as you like but will pay excess baggage fees for any over 2 plus a carry-on and a laptop. Weight limits vary from 50 - 66 lbs per piece with carry-on limited to 15lbs or 7kg.

It depends on your airline but most allow those 21 inch luggage with wheels in the cabin. No more than 40 lbs. Plus you are allowed one personal item. A purse, laptop etc. Checked luggage 2 pieces not more than 50 lbs each piece.
good luck

2 checked bags, 1 carry-on, and 1 personal item (such as a purse or laptop). Checked bags are limited to 50# each generally (you should check with your airline to see what their limit is exactly). Carry on size is limited to what can fit in that airline overhead bin so once again you’ll have to check with your airline for the specifics. A 19-in rolling suitcase or less is a safe bet.
Good luck and have a great trip!
