Flight attendants can you help me?
FlightsCraigy Boi asked:
I have an interview with United Airlines in Chicago and was wondering if any of you could help me and tell me what the interview is like and what should I expect. And also, I read that flight attendants have to be height and weight proportional. My height is ideal for the job, but i am worried about my weight. I’m not very very obese, just a little more on the “big-boned” or heavy set side. will this affect me from getting the job?

No, there are plenty of “big boned” men at the airline I work for.
Just wear a suit that compliments your figure. A good advice is to invest in a good, quality suit. It will come in very handy should United not pan out and you decide this is the career you want, then you’ll be interviewing for other airlines and the dress code is the same. Buy yourself a good suit.

There are no weight restrictions. Basic guideline is that you can comfortably fit in the jumpseat and attach the seatbelt and shoulder harness without an extension. Also that you can walk down the aisle without turning sideways. Hope this helps…oh, and wear a suit and tie!
