extending my flight connection from 2 hours to 3 days?
Flightsjourney_man asked:
I bought ticket to fly from new-york to tucson, it’s specified that there are 2 hours connection in chicago. Finally I want to spend 3 days in chicago before continuing. Is it possible? Will the airline accept?

If you want to take a connecting flight out of Chicago that’s not the same day as your first leg, is no longer a “connection.” You’ll need two separate tickets. This is especially true if you are planning on checking any bags.
EDIT:
I concur with the answer below. That’s what I was getting at, but I didn’t state it very clearly.

The first answer is not quite correct — you don’t necessarily need to buy a second ticket, but you would have to rebook your currently existing ticket to include a stopover in Chicago. This will allow you to collect your bags and stay for the time that you request as part of the stopover.
To do this, you’d have to call the airline or travel agent fromj where you bought the ticket and ask them to make this change for you. Note, however, that you’ll have to pay any applicable change fees and difference in price to be able to do so.
