when should i buy the air ticket for italy?

i live in beijing, and on june the 29th i’m going to italy, milan. as there aint any direct flights i’ll use lufthansa so that we’ll have a stop in frankfurt……
so i leave on the 29th and i’ll come back to beijing at the end of august….
when do you think i should book the air ticket? is may or june too late?? please give me some info about it!

It can be tricky…if you book too early, you may miss lower fares offered later on, and if you book later in May, you may not get a seat..definitely don’t wait until June.
